Originally built in 1972 as a Bertram 35, this boat has been completely transformed to meet the highest standards of a modern Fishing Charter in Sitka. After acquiring the boat from Virginia, Cody, our expert captain and owner, had it transported to Seattle and shipped to Sitka. Here, it was stripped to the bare hull and meticulously rebuilt to Cody’s exact specifications.
The Kimshan spans 35 feet in length and 13 feet in width, featuring a spacious fishing platform on the back deck that measures 16 feet by 13 feet. This ample space ensures that up to six anglers can fish comfortably, minimizing tangles and maximizing productivity. Powered by twin diesel Volvo Penta engines, the Kimshan cruises at a speedy 23 knots, with a top speed of just over 30 knots, ensuring we can reach the best fishing spots swiftly and efficiently.
